Security man killed in Maoist blast in Chhattisgarh


Narayanpur (Chhattisgarh), Sep 28 (IANS): A District Reserve Guard (DRG) trooper was killed and two others were injured on Wednesday in an IED blast triggered by Maoists in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, a police official said.

The blast triggered by Maoists occurred in Karel valley in Narayanpur where security personnel were deployed to supervise a public grievances redressal camp and a road survey, a police official told IANS. 

Following the blast, an intense combing operation has been launched in the region to trace the Maoists.
