The three-day MET 2016 (Materials Engineering Technology) and HTS 2016 (Heat Treat Show), will be inaugurated by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the CIDCO Convention Centre, Navi Mumbai.

The twin-event will witness the participation of several top notch companies including DRDO labs, CSIR labs, JSW Energy, Bharat Forge, Reliance Industries and the Aditya Birla Group, among others.

MET 2016 will provide business opportunities for the material science and engineering community to showcase the latest advancements in materials and processes for industrial application to a global audience.

A three-day international conference with the theme 'Emerging Materials for Defence and Infrastructure', will have eminent speakers from India and abroad to debate, deliberate and exchange ideas on key issues related to these sectors.

"Materials and engineering focus on developing new materials, processes, theories and computational models to understand materials. The conference will make sure that all the stakeholders come together to discuss new material development and new technologies," said organising committee chairman Pradeep Goyal.
