Mangalore, Dec 21: Christmas was celebrated at ‘Prashanth Nivas’ (Old-Age Home and Orphanage), located at Infant Mary’s Convent, Jeppu with orphaned children and women, on Thursday December 20 evening.

Fr William Menezes, administration officer of Fr Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI) was the chief guest conveyed the Christmas message to all.  Fr Joseph and several nuns were present at the occasion.

The programme began with the prayer hymn.  The inmates of orphanage staged Christmas dance, skit, and also sang carols.

It was indeed a memorable day for all the inmates who thoroughly enjoyed the programme.  Moreover, it was a thoughtful event, by Ashram authorities, to think of the under-privileged and downtrodden, before the grand celebration of Christmas on Tuesday December 25.

Shameema compered the programme. Lily Monis proposed vote of thanks.
