Mumbai, Dec 20: St Jude Church Jerimeri organized an evening of carol-singing on Sunday December 16 at 6.00 pm at the church premises.

Konkan Taram participated in carol singing presenting traditional and new carols with voices.  Fr Theo Fernandes (parish priest and spiritual director Konkan Taram) initiated and compered the programme.

Benjamin Miranda, John Mascarenhas, Nephie Pradan, Flora D'Souza, Mercin Miranda, Juliana Mascarenhas, Jacintha D'Souza, Julie D'Souza, Irene D'Mello, Treeza D'Souza, Melony Cordeiro, George Furtado, Kenet Barnes, Kuldip D'Costa, Joseph D'Souza, Joylene D'Souza, Ashwin D’Souza and others took active part in singing with voices, playing music and presenting a tableau on the birth of Jesus.  Santa Claus (Flora D'Souza) greeted the crowd, led the group with a ‘live crib' and later distributed sweets.  Singing in many languages like Konkani, Tamil, Malayalam and English made this evening a beautiful preparation for the Christmas celebration.

Fr Theo Fernandes, Fr Victor Noronha (principal), Fr Stephen Maria along with Fiola D'Souza and Aswintha D'Souza sang a final "Taramparam" carol, to wind up the programme.
