Mumbai, Dec 19: The general body meeting of Federation of Mumbai’s Canara Catholic Association, was held at St Lawrence Association of Karkala auditorium, located at Dinshaw Mahal, Dhobi Talao on Sunday December 16 morning.

The meeting was presided over by Norbert L Fernandes, president of Federation of Mumbai’s Canara Catholic Association.

“People have the wrong notion that organizations are engaged in social service only for publicity sake.  At least, they should be happy that such organizations are doing their yeomen service for whatever sake.  Moreover, they too can join in the service, in order to get publicity for themselves too.  The society would benefit in either way.  Every organization has been plagued with several issues which would not be solved by few people.  Federation can find solutions to them, effectively”, said Norbert L Fernandes, president of Federation.

The new office-bearers for Federation were unanimously elected during the meeting.

Rons Bantwal, founder of Federation of Mumbai’s Canara Catholic Association was felicitated for bagging ‘Divo’ award.

Harry Sequeira, Nelson Mascarenhas, co-founders were present.  Maurice Pinto, vice-president welcomed.  Austin D’Souza, chief secretary read the report.  Rons Bantwal proposed vote of thanks.
