Hyderabad, Sep 23 (IANS): Three persons were killed as heavy rains lashed various parts of Telangana on Friday, an official said.

All the deaths were reported from Medak district, which has received heavy rains since Thursday night. A 35-year-old woman and her seven-year-old daughter were killed when their house collapsed in Medak town.

In another incident of house collapse in Mubarkpur village, a 65-year-old man was killed. Three others were injured in the two incidents.

Authorities in Medak, Nalgonda and Warangal districts have declared two-day holiday for all schools and colleges in view of the heavy rains.
