IAF's Jaguar fighter jet catches fire, pilot safe


Ambala, Sep 14 (IANS): A Jaguar fighter jet caught fire minutes before take off at Ambala airfield on Tuesday but the pilot escaped safely, Indian Air Force officials said.

According to sources, the pilot noticed fire and aborted the take off.

The pilot then made a safe and quick exit from the aircraft.

A Mig-21 fighter jet had crashed near Barmer in Rajasthan on Saturday. Both pilots ejected safely.
