Mangalore: INCHOE-07 - National Conference at NITK from Dec 12

Mangalore, Dec 12: National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Suratkal and New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT), Panambur will jointly organize INCHOE- 2007, the three-day Indian national conference on Harbour and Ocean Engineering at NITK, Suratkal near here from Wednesday December 12 to Friday December 14, informed Prof Sandeep Sancheti, director, NITK at press conference here on Tuesday December 11.

He further said that, Prof Tad S Murty, eminent scientist from Canada will inaugurate the said Conference. As many a seven renowned researchers and professionals will deliver talks. Nearly 150 delegates are expected to attend the conference, he added.

The three-day national-level conference will provide a platform for discussion on the problem and will also recommend solutions to the problems, informed Prof Sandeep.

Hydrodynamics of marine environment, port engineering, modeling techniques, port management and operations, planning and dredging, logistics, marine geotechnical engineering, environment impact assessment, coastal hydrology and others will be the themes for the conference.

Hadavo, chief engineer, NMPT, Dr Gopal Mugeraya, chairman, conference publicity committee, Dr Subba Rao and Dr Kiran G Shirlal, joint secretary were present at the press meet.
