Series of explosions rock Syrian cities

Damascus, Sep 5 (IANS): A series of explosions rocked four Syrian cities on Monday, officials reported.

Two suicide bombers detonated their explosives-laden cars at the entrance of the coastal city of Tartus, Xinhua news agency reported.

A third car bomb went off at a checkpoint at the entrance of al-Zahara neighbourhood in Homs province.

In the capital Damascus, an explosion took place near the resort town of Sabura.
