Billawa Association of Kandivili Celebrates Platinum Jubilee

Mumbai, Nov 5: Billawa association of Kandivili celebrated its platinum jubilee at Tatai Bhatia auditorium, Kandivli (West) here on Saturday, November 3.

The function was organized by Kandivli coordinating committee.

Niranjan, swamiji of Sri Ambika Annapoorneshwari temple, Sunkadakatte graced the programme. Jaya C Suvarna, president of Billawa association presided over the function.

Kodikal Damodar, owner of the restaurant and Gopal C Shetty, Dahisar MLA were the chief guests. 

BJP corporators Shailaja Girnar, Yogesh Sagar, Congress corporator Baldev Singh Mankoo (Tillaji), Keshav Poojary, proprietor, Sony Transport Services, Krishna Suvarna, managing director, Chris Media Works Private Limited, Druvashu Mar Salian, senior vice-president, Harwards Group of Concerns, S Arun Kumar, owner, National Cooling Towers, Rangappa Chennappa Gowda, Borivili Om Sai Consultant, were the guest of honour.

Eminent columnist Dr Vishwanat Karnad was felicitated on this occasion.

Various cultural programmes were held to entertain the gathering. Fashion show was staged by the community children and Tulu drama ‘Oore Gati’ was also staged by Navodaya Drama Troupe, which was directed by Srinath Mulky.

Bhaskar V Bange, Honorary chief treasurer, Jayanti V Ullal, Women Division executive president, Bhaskar T Bangera, deputy executive president, R D Poojary, deputy executive president,  Umesh N Suratkal, honorary secretary, Manjayya C Amin, honorary treasurer, C T Salian, honorary secretary, platinum jubilee celebration committee, coordinators Shankar D Poojary and others were present.

Gangadar J Poojary, Kandivli coordinating committee executive president welcomed the gathering and Gangadar G Poojary, Kandivli coordinating committee executive president compered the programme.
