Slovakia announce 23-member squad for Euro 2016


Bratislava, May 31 (IANS): Slovakia football coach Jan Kozak has announced his list of 23 players for the Euro 2016 in France.

Slovakia is making the final touches in readiness for the global tourney after defeating Germany this weekend 3-1, and will now play friendlies with Ireland and Northern Ireland, reports Efe.

In the group stage of the competition in France, Slovakia will face England, Wales and Russia.

The Slovakia squad for Euro 2016:

Goalkeepers: Matus Kozacik, Jan Mucha, Jan Novota

Defenders: Peter Pekarik, Norbert Gyomber, Martin Skrtel, Milan Skriniar, Jan Durica, Kornel Salata, Tomas Hubocan, Dusan Svento

Midfielders: Viktor Pecovsky, Patrik Hrosovsky, Juraj Kucka, Jan Gregus, Marek Hamsik, Ondrej Duda, Robert Mak, Vladimir Weiss, Miroslav Stoch

Forwards: Adam Nemec, Michal Duris, Stanislav Sestak.
