Atletico Madrid's Godin, Carrasco given medical clearance

Madrid, May 1 (IANS): Spanish football club Atletico Madrid confirmed on Sunday that Uruguayan defender Diego Godin and Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco have been given medical clearance after recovering from their injuries.

Godin and Carrasco took part on Sunday morning in the team's training session before they travel on Monday to Munich for the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals against Bayern Munich, reports Efe.

Godin was sidelined during Atletico Madrid's last two matches against Athletic Bilbao on April 20 in Round 34 of La Liga and the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals, which ended in a 1-0 victory for the Spanish side.

Carrasco missed the last two games due to ankle pain.
