Pune, Oct 17: Two Mumbai-based models and their alleged pimp, who were arrested from a city hotel on Saturday for allegedly being involvement in flesh trade, were on Monday remanded to police custody till October 17.

The trio was trapped by police after a tip-off that one Jonathan Satyanath, an assistant film director was posing as an agent for the models, Harshada Dinanath Redkar and Rafnitkaur Daljitsingh Goraya, asking for Rs two lac per girl for one night.

Police sent a decoy customer on Saturday night to the specified three-star hotel in Cantonment area who negotiated the deal with Jonathan, and subsequently carried out a raid to arrest the girls and the agent, police said.

Both the models have appeared in some television serials, advertisements as well as Hindi and Punjabi music albums, while Jonathan was connected to the Hindi film industry where he had worked as assistant director for some movies, police added.

Judicial Magistrate First Class Gauri Jadhav granted permission to the public prosecutor's plea for police custody for the accused on the ground that the authorities needed time to further investigate the scope of the sex-racket and its networking.
