Thiruvnanthapuram, Sep 26: Kerala government has announced an award of Rs three lac to Robin Uthappa, who was part of the Indian Cricket team that won the ICC Twenty/20 World Cup.

State Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan has already decided to award Rs Five lac for pace bowler S Sreesanth, who hails from Kerala.

Though Uthappa's family has settled in Bangalore, his mother hails from Kozhikode in Kerala.
