Mumbai, Sep 19: Mangalore-based Karnataka Bank Limited has opened an NRI Cell in Mumbai recently.

Located in the bank's international department, the cell is intended to provide the NRI customers with better service.

Inaugurating the cell, bank chairman Ananthakrishna highlighted how the cell would prove useful to NRI customers.

"Information should be quick and authentic. Delay costs heavily. Proper dissemination of information is the need of the hour," he said. In this direction, the opening of an NRI Cell was a step forward, he added.

Chief general manager P Jayarama Bhat, Mumbai region DGM V M Samaga, international division AGM M V Mohan and Mumbai overseas branch chief manager K V Vijayshankar Rai were present on the occasion.
