Pizzi named Chile coach


Santiago, Jan 30 (IANS): Juan Antonio Pizzi was named Chile coach on Friday after fellow Argentine Jorge Sampaoli resigned.

The Chilean soccer body ANFP announced they hired Pizzi until the 2018 World Cup, Xinhua news agency reported.

Pizzi, who had played for Barcelona and Valencia, will take up the job next week.
