Mumbai, Sep 10: Monthi Fest / The feast of Nativity of Mary was celebrated with great fervour by Canara Welfare Association, Sacred Heart Church, Mahakali, Andheri (East) on Sunday, Sep 9.  The little children of the parish, offered flowers in honour of Infant Mary.  Fr Cyprian Lewis, parish priest, joined the parishioners in praising and honouring Mary.  Fr Charles Vaz celebrated the Holy Mass along with Fr Cyprian Lewis and conveyed best wishes to the parishioners.












Fr Cyprian, inaugurated the stage programme by lighting the lamp.  Association treasurer, Francis Tony D'Almeida, honoured Fr Cyprian Lewis, by presenting a flower bouquet.

Association president, Pais Fernandes, welcomed.  Secretary, Lenny Fernandes, compered the programme.  Vice president, Lancy D'Silva, proposed vote of thanks.

Treasurer, Francis Tony D'Almeida, committee members, Juliana F D'Almeida, Richard Peris, Joseph D'Souza, Daisy Lewis, Glen Rebello, were present on the dias.

    It is greatly commendable to the Canara Welfare Association and its leaders for upholding the traditional custom of South Kanara by celebrating Monti Fest in SHC Parish in Mahakali. I wish them all well and Mother Mary's Blessings
