Mumbai, Sep 4: The birth anniversary of Narayana Guru was celebrated by Mumbai Billava Jagrathi Balaga, a unit of Mumbai Billava Association, at Kabhibai High School hall, Fort, on Sunday September 3. Puja and religious rites including cultural programmes were held on the occasion.
Balaga president, Sooru Karkera presided over the religious meet while Prof M S Kotian, KMC, Mangalore, was the chief guest. Folklore scholar, Bannanje Babu Amin and National Congress Party Mumbai vice-president, Laxman Poojary were the guests of honour.
Secretary Harish Poojary compered the programme. Treasurer, J M Kotian, proposed vote of thanks.
