Judicial remand of Pakistani terrorist extended

Jammu, Dec 11 (IANS): A court on Friday extended by 12 days the judicial remand of a Pakistani terrorist and five others in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir that killed two BSF troopers.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) designate court extended the remand of Pakistani Muhammad Naveed and his accomplices, a police officer told IANS.

Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists Naveed and Noman, both Pakistanis, attacked a Border Security Force bus in Udhampur district on August 5, killing two troopers and injuring 11 others.

Noman was killed in a gunfight while Naveed escaped to a village where he was overpowered.

Based on Naveed's interrogation, the other five were arrested from the Kashmir Valley on charges of ferrying the LeT terrorists and their weapons in a fruit truck to Udhampur.
