Jabalpur, Nov 27 (ibnlive): Those supporting and opposing actor Aamir Khan's intolerance remarks might be engaged in verbal duel in the virtual world, but this couple from Jabalpur had such an intense altercation on the statement that it resulted in tje wife ending her life by consuming poisonous substance.

The police said that Ayank Pandey and his wife Sonal, residents of Lahri apartment, had a heated argument over Aamir Khan's intolerance remark which soon turned into a full fledged fight between the two.

Following the dispute, Sonal consumed poison and was rushed to hospital. She died during treatment despite the efforts of the doctors.
Kotwali police registered a case into the death and the body was sent for post mortem. The police started probing the matter by recording statements of the family.

During the Ramnath Goenka Awards for Journalism, Aamir Khan had said that despondency was on rise in the country in the past few months. The actor had also said that his wife Kiran Rao feared for her children and had suggested moving out of the country.
