Mangalore, Aug 14:  An interactive session on ‘Insight into administrative and civic reforms in India’ was organized by the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) at the conference room of KCCI, Exim Facilitation Centre, Chamber building, Bunder here, on Monday August 13 at 5 pm.

The interactive session was conducted with M Veerappa Moily, chairman of Administrative Reforms Commission, government of India, New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Moily said that it will be a historical mistake, if India did not sign the nuclear deal with US. It is the best opportunity now, he declared. 

With regard to the developmental activities in India, he felt that nothing is impossible in this world, and said that the problem is with the people’s mindset. According to him the success of every developmental project depends upon the individual’s ability. 

India has the courage and force within it for rapid development, but we need to give a free rein to it, Moily further stated. And that a new India will emerge from new ideas. 

Moily said that money is not the problem that hinders development in present day nation. The administrators should decide how to use the money and plan any project, Moily recommended.

MLA Abhayachandra Jain, MR Vasudeva, director of Airport, Ivan D’Souza, district secretary of KPCC, Kumble Narasimha Prabhu, vice-president, Srinivas Kamath and Shekhar Poojary, honorary secretaries and Ahmed Bava, honorary treasurer were present on the occasion.

Capt. John Prasad Menezes, president of KCCI welcomed the gathering while Kumble Narasimha Prabhu introduced the chief guest and Srinivas S Kamath proposed the vote of thanks.
