Security tightened for ATP World Tour Finals

London, Nov 15 (IANS): Enhanced security measures will be deployed at the ATP World Tour Finals set to kick off in London's O2 Arena on Sunday, following the Paris terror attacks, the organisers said.

"The O2 Arena already has enhanced security in place and tournament preparations are continuing as normal. Venue security is monitored at all times to ensure the safety of all our visitors," the organisers said in a statement on Saturday, Xinhua reported.

"Following the events overnight, we have reviewed security operations in place around this year's ATP World Tour Finals," the statement said.

It also added that no food or drink will be allowed into the arena and all bags will be searched.

No bags larger than a small laptop bag or handbag will be permitted in the arena during the tournament.

The season-ending finale features world's top eight players and will run till November 22.

At least 127 people were killed and over 200 injured as terrorists unleashed mayhem in six crowded areas of Paris on Friday night.
