Harbhajan Singh marries Geeta Basra, Sachin Tendulkar and wife Anjali attend the wedding

Oct 29 (HT): Cricketer Harbhajan Singh and model/actor Geeta Basra got married at an intimate ceremony in a gurudwara near Jalandhar on Thursday morning.

While Geeta was wearing a heavy red lehenga made of ahimsa silk which was designed by Archana Kochhar, Bhajji looked every bit the Punjabi groom in a heavy sherwani and red turban.

Harbhajan reached the venue, Guru Nanak Mission Netraheen Vridh Ashram, around 10 in the morning in a white Rolls Royce. Sachin Tendulkar and wife Anjali also reached the venue soon after.

The wedding is to be followed by a reception at Club Cabana. The ground is prepared to receive Nita Ambani, who owns Bhajji’s Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 team Mumbai Indians, and her husband, Mukesh Ambani, whose chartered aircraft is expected to land here on Thursday morning. The wedding resort has been secured for the VIPs. Cricketers Parthiv Patel, Dinesh Karthik, RP Singh, and Pragyan Ojha have arrived in the city already.
