Panaji, Aug 1: After a ban period of almost 45 days drew to a close, fishing trawlers are all set to venture into the sea.

The busiest and most crowded jetty in North Goa was fully geared up and all set to handle the new fishing season beginning August 1. The ban, however, had excluded country boats and catamarans. The purpose behind imposing ban was to conserve the species and also avoid human loss during monsoons.
The Goans will now be able to have their favourite fishes in their plates after the fishing holiday that lasted for almost 45 days. However the price factor could keep some of the Goans away from their favourites.
