Teen plunges to death from hotel room


Milan, Oct 16 (IANS/AKI): A 17-year-old school student fell to his death from a sixth-floor hotel room in Milan in Italy while on a trip with classmates to the Expo 2015 trade fair.

Emergency services were called in on Thursday but he was declared dead at the scene.

The youth, from a high school in the Tuscan port city of Livorno, had travelled to Milan on Wednesday with his class and had been due to visit Expo on Thursday.

On 10 May, another high school student, 19-year-old Domenico Maurantonio, plunged to his death from a Milan hotel room while on a visit to Expo with his class.

It is believed he lost his balance and fell from the balcony of his fifth-floor hotel room.
