Khanna to head Asian Council of Exercise and Sports Science


New Delhi, Oct 15 (IANS): G.L. Khanna was on Thursday appointed president of the Asian Council of Exercise and Sports Science (ACESS) for a minimum period of two years.

This announcement was made at the executive board meeting of 7th ACESS at the Manav Rachna International University (MRIU) campus, according to a release.

Khanna, who is the first Indian to head ACESS, is currently dean of the faculty of applied science at MRIU.

ACESS's mission is to promote communication, interaction, and cooperation among Asian exercise and sports science professionals and students in educational, scientific, and research institutions, and to encourage the exploration of issues specific to the Asian regions.
