London, Sep 15 (IANS): West Ham beat Newcastle 2-0 to keep reigning English Premier League champions Chelsea out of the relegation zone.

Dimitri Payet, who scored both goals, sculpted the win for the hosts West Ham on Monday.
The French player, who moved to West Ham from Olympique Marseille this season, took only nine minutes to display his enormous talent with a sensational shot from outside the area to open the scoring.
His second goal came off a rebound after a spectacular display by Nigerian Victor Moses, who ran almost the length of the field only to crash the ball against the crossbar.
With this victory, West Ham, who until now had lost both their home matches, moved to fifth place, while Newcastle was relegated to last position of the English Premier League.
