Chinese club edge Japanese 3-2 at Asian volleyball


Hanoi, Sep 14 (IANS): China's Zhejiang club edged Japan's Hitsamitsu 3-2 at the 2015 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship in Vietnam's Ha Nam province on Sunday, the media reported.

Earlier on Saturday, the Chinese defeated their Iranian rivals 3-0, Xinhua news agency reported.

The 4.25 Sports club from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea beat Iran's Islamic Azad University 3-0 on Sunday, while Chinese Taipei's Taiwan Power defeated Kazakhstan's Zhetyssu 3-0.

The winner of the tournament will earn the only ticket to compete in the 2016 club world championship slated for October 2016.
