Indian boxer enters semis of junior World meet

Moscow, Sep 10 (IANS): Sachin defeated Enzo Grau of France 3-0 to enter the semifinals of the boys' 50kg category at the ongoing World Junior Boxing Championships here.

Sachin thus became the only Indian boxer who has managed to enter the medal rounds of the current edition so far.

It was a disappointing day for the other Indians on Wednesday as Naveen Boora (57kg) and Sandeep Ghanghas (75kg) crashed out at the quarterfinal stage of their respective weight categories.

Naveen and Sandeep went down by an identical 0-3 margin to American Gabriel Flores and Alberto Biro of Romania, respectively.
