Apia (Samoa), Sep 9 (IANS): The Indian pair of Velavan Senthil Kumar and Harshit Jawanda reached the mixed doubles squash semifinals at the Commonwealth Youth Games here on Wednesday.
Placed in Pool C, the two Indians had it easy beating Stephen Hearst and Ellie Mc Veigh of Northern Ireland 11-0, 11-2 in the first round of the league before defeating Pakistan's Sadia Gul and Israr Ahmed 11-9, 11-8 to top the pool.
In the cross over match with Guyana, the second placed team in Pool A, the Indian pair beat Benjamin Mekdel and Taylor Fernandes 11-4, 11-5 to reach Thursday's semifinals where they face Scotland.
