Would have been in air force if not a cricketer: Rahane

Mumbai, Sep 4 (IANS): Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane on Friday said he would have been an officer with the Indian Air Force if he had not taken up cricket as a career.

The willower, speaking to bcci.tv, also took a trip down memory lane and recounted experiences from his days as a junior cricketer.

"In a junior cricket game, I got hit on the head by a bouncer. Immediately after that I got five boundaries in a row," he said.

Rahane also said that his favourite cricketers were Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid and added he loved listening to American pop-rock band 'Backstreet Boys'.

The 27-year-old has played in 18 Test matches and 58 One-Day Internationals and has also featured in 13 T20s. He has also amassed 3,331 international runs so far.
