Japan to stop using controversial 2020 Olympics logo


Tokyo, Sep 1 (IANS): The organising committee for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics on Tuesday decided to stop using its controversial logo amid accusations of plagiarism.

Kenjiro Sano, the logo designer, has been accused of plagiarism by Belgian designer Olivier Debie. Some other designs by Sano were also found to be suspect, reports Xinhua.

The Tokyo Olympics organising committee has scheduled an emergency meeting on Tuesday to address the issue.
