Ishant takes four, Sri Lanka struggle at 175/8


Colombo, Aug 30 (IANS): Pacer Ishant Sharma claimed four crucial wickets to leave Sri Lanka struggling at 175/8 at tea in the first innings on Day 3 of the third Test against India at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) here on Sunday.

In reply to India’s first innings score of 312, Sri Lankan tailenders Rangana Herath (47 not out) and Dhammika Prasad (6 not out) remained to help them reach 175/8 in 48 overs in the first innings at tea.

Ishant (4/39), Stuart Binny (2/24), Umesh Yadav (1/54) and Amit Mishra (1/19) wrecked the Sri Lankan batting order.
