Kabir Khan gets 'best gift' from Salman

Mumbai, Aug 30 (IANS): As “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” continues to sparkle at the box office even after a month of its release, its director Kabir Khan has got the "best gift" from superstar Salman Khan.

Salman, whose character helps a mute Pakistani girl to get back to her country in the blockbuster, presented the filmmaker his famous black-and-white portrait of a man and woman.

Salman's creation, which he titled "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", shows a couple in love. The woman is seen sporting a red bindi.

The “Phantom” director, who has also worked with the actor in the 2012 film "Ek Tha Tiger", posted its photograph on Twitter with the caption: “Just got the best gift... From my producer, my actor, my friend.”

“Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Harshaali Malhotra, released on July 17.

Meanwhile, Kabir is happy to see two of his films running in theatres at the same time.

He wrote: “I really wonder if I will ever see this in my career again... Two of my films running at the theatres at the same time.”

“Phantom”, which stars Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif, released on Friday.
