Rain halts India-Sri Lanka Test


Colombo, Aug 28 (IANS): India were 50/2 against Sri Lanka when rain interrupted play before lunch on the opening day of the third and final cricket Test at the at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) here on Friday.

Opening batsman Cheteshwar Pujara (19 not out) and captain Virat Kohli (14 not out) were at the crease after 15 overs of play. India lost opener Lokesh Rahul (2) and Ajinkya Rahane (8).

The series is tied 1-1.
