Mumbai, Jun.20: The 31st Annual day celebration of Kannada Seva Sangh (R) was held at Sacred Heart Welfare Centre auditorium, located beside Bhayandar railway track, in Thane district here on Sunday June 17.

Gilbert Mendonca, the first-ever municipal councillor of Mangalore origin, in Mira-Bhayandar municipality, was the chief guest on the occasion.  He released the memorial bulletin of Sangh.

Eminent writer Prof Sanjeev Shetty was the guest of honour while Dr S Ambarish Hegde, Dr Bhaskar Shetty, were the special invitees. Ravindra Shetty of Hindustan Glass Beeds Bhayandar, Equity Hotels director Gopal Puthran, Udayavani daily Mumbai bureau, sub-editor, K N Shiva Kumar, local municipal staff, Rita Shah and others were present.

The programme was presided over by Anand A Shetty, president of Kannada Seva Sangh, Bhayandar. Variety entertainment events were held by the children of members.  Honorary chief secretary Prabhakar Shetty and Bhaskar Suvarna Sasihithlu, compered the programme.

Vice-president, Vishwanath D Mendon, assistant secretary Rohith Suvarna, honorary treasurer Madhav Shetty,  assistant treasurer Sadanand Karkera,  chartered accountant Gopal Suvarna,  Gangadhar Salian, George A Sequeira, women division organizing committee president Sudha Kotian, vice-president Anandi Bangera, chief secretary Vasanthi Poojary, joint-secretary Shantha Poojary, Prema L Shetty and other office-bearers were present.
