Jamaican fans express joy for Bolt's title


Kingston (Jamaica), Aug 24 (IANS): Once again Jamaican people expressed their joy for Usain Bolt's victory in the 100 metres race at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing.

According to the Jamaica Observer, people in the Caribbean country are very glad for Bolt's supremacy as the world's fastest man. Bolt defeated his rival Justin Gatlin and retained the 100m title on Sunday, reports Xinhua.

In the local daily's social media sites, people shared their joy.

Vaughn Mowatt said "What's Beijing without Bolt? An empty nest!"

Karl Henry said: "This man has done much for our beloved country Jamaica! He has given us hope when there was not much, his drive and determination should be a lesson beyond sports...Congratulations Mr.Bolt, you are more valuable to Jamaica than you will ever know."

On Twitter, user 'Jahb' said, "When you good you good!! Congratulations Mr. Bolt. The world bows at your feet."

User 'Ellydeedo' said, "All when Bolt is not fit those American Drug runners just cannot beat him. They are so much ashamed of themselves they can't face the camera. Away with the American Drug runners. Lot's of respect to our Jamaican Athletes."
