India set 413-run target for Sri Lanka to win second Test


Colombo, Aug 23 (IANS): India declared their second innings of the second cricket Test against Sri Lanka at 325/8 on the fourth day of play at the P. Sara Oval here on Sunday -- setting a 413-run win-target for the hosts.

Ajinkya Rahane (126) and Murali Vijay (82) were the main scorers for India who extended their 87-run first innings lead to 412 runs.

Sri Lanka require to score 413 runs to win the fixture and take a 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

For Sri Lanka, pacer Dhammika Prasad (4-43) and off-spinner Tharindu Kaushal (4-118) shared the Indian wickets.
