Cameroonian Makoun joins Eto'o in Turkish football league

Ankara, Aug 21 (IANS): Turkish Super League club Antalyaspor has agreed to sign Jean Makoun, making the 32-year-old the second Cameroonian footballer to join the team this season after legendary Samuel Eto'o.

Makoun became a free player after spending the past three seasons at French side Stade Rennais. The Cameroon international had been training with the Turkish club for the past week, managing to impress coach Yusuf Simsek, Xinhua reported on Thursday.

The newly promoted Antalyaspor made headlines in the start of the season by acquiring Eto'o who began the season with flying colours, scoring two goals in his team's 3-2 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir.
