Mumbai, Jun 15:
Gangster Ejaz Pathan, one of those convicted for the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai, died in the city's JJ Hospital on Friday following a prolonged illness.

"Ejaz Pahan is dead," Deputy Commissioner of Police Brijesh Singh told PTI without giving details.

Pathan, who provided his men to absconding main accused Tiger Memon for landing RDX on the Raigad coast ahead of the 1993 blasts, was sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for ten years by the special TADA court on June 7.

Pathan was suffering from various ailments, including blood clots in the brain, and had suffered a paralytic attack earlier.
