Argentina to play friendly football matches in September


Mexico City, Aug 18 (IANS): Argentina's football team will play friendly matches next September in the United States, media reports.

Stars including Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez are Angel Di Mari are part of the 24-player list called by coach Gerardo "Tata" Martino for the friendly matches against Bolivia and Mexico next September, reports Xinhua.

The controversy about the participation of Spain's Barcelona star Lionel Messi in Argentina's national football team due to the defeat of Argentina at Copa America, was finally solved with the announcement of the player list.

"Tata" Martino has called the best Argentine players for the friendly matches that will also be preparation games towards the qualifying tournament for Russia 2018 World Cup.
