Mumbai, Jun 11: A medical seminar on major health concerns of 21st century was held on Sunday June 10 at Xavier Institute of Engineering, at Mahim here.

It was jointly organized by Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and St Luke Medical Guild, from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.

The medical seminar was attended by V J Carneiro, general manager and CEO of Citizen Credit Co-Op Bank Ltd, as chief guest while E Durante Monteiro, director of Pfizer Ltd. was the guest of honour. 

Dr Ian D’Souza, honorary surgeon of Holy Family, Holy Spirit, S L Raheja and L H Hiranandani Hospitals delivered lecture on understanding cancer and its treatment.

 Dr Robin Pinto, honorary consultant of Holy Family, Breach Candy, Kikabai Mehta Hospitals and Glenmark Cardiac Centre delivered lecture on prevention.  Dr Shasank Joshi, honorary endocrinologist of Lilavati Hospital, Bandra, presented a talk on living happily with diabetes. 

Dr Richard Pereira of Gum Care Dental Clinic delivered a lecture on modern dentistry.
