One held for firing at Wasim Akram's car


Karachi, Aug 8 (IANS): A man has been arrested for a shot being fired at former Pakistan cricket team captain Wasim Akram's car here, a media report said.

The nabbed suspect is a private security guard, Geo TV reported on Friday. Police is on the lookout for his employer, who is still at large.

The owner of the vehicle was also present at the time of the incident, police added.

The attack took place on Shah Faisal Road when Akram was in a car, travelling from his home to the National Stadium where he is supervising a 13-day training camp for fast bowlers.

Police official Munir Sheikh said they retrieved the CCTV footage of the incident.
