Carl's Jr. brings 15 burger variants to India


New Delhi, Aug 7 (IANS): American burger chain Carl’s Jr. will feature a menu of 15 vegetarian and non-vegetarian burgers, hand breaded-chicken offerings and a wide variety of hand scooped ice-cream shakes, beer on tap and free soft beverages refills, when it opens its doors in the capital on Saturday.

"Carl's Jr. will satisfy India's diverse palate with its rich, intense flavours featured in their innovative vegetarian and non-vegetarian menu items. We can't wait for India's burger lovers to get their first bite of a Carl's Jr. chargrilled burger while enjoying our beer on tap and soft beverages bar," said Sana Chopra, the brand's executive director.

Its outlet will open at the Select Citwalk mall in Saket here.

Its chargrilled chicken burger section boasts a wide variety of options such as their Star Burger, which has Moroccan spiced chicken topped with cheese and fresh produce; Mile High Burger, which is a Moroccan Spice chicken piled high with crispy, hand breaded onion rings topped with tangy Santa Fe Sauce.

The menu also offers chargrilled Chicken Fillets with Mango Jalapeno Pepper (chargrilled chicken topped with Jalapeno coins and mango jalapeno mayo), Tikka Masala (chargrilled chicken in bold and spicy marinade topped with tandoori mayo) and more.

For vegetarians, the menu will have chargrilled Tandoori Paneer Burger to Paneer Tikka Masala Burger with mint mayo and the crispy section with its Mango Jalapeno 9 Jewel Burger to Santa Fe fenugreek burger.

The brand has ensured good buzz for the India entry of Carl's Jr. via popular dating app Tinder.

“Carl’s Jr. is known globally for its unique advertising and marketing campaigns targeted at the young hungry youth. Tinder is an excellent platform to reach out to this audience and matches well with our brand positioning,” Samira Chopra, marketing strategy head, Carl’s Jr. India, said.
