Brazil's Barbosa turns down CSKA Moscow offer

Rio de Janeiro, Aug 2 (IANS): Brazilian star Gabriel Barbosa has rejected a proposal to join Russian football club CSKA Moscow.

The Russian club is prepared to offer up to 15 million euros to sign the 18-year-old ahead of the August 31 transfer deadline. But it is understood the player is seeking a move to western Europe, Xinhua reported.

Barbosa, who earlier this year was linked with a move to China, has scored 13 goals in 55 matches for Santos since 2013. He has been capped by Brazil at Under-15, U-17 and U-20 levels.
