Mangalore: Amina Asfiya Bags Third Rank in CET

Mangalore, May 25: Amina Asfiya, a student of city's St Agnes College has done the city proud by bagging the third rank in Medical in Karnataka CET held on May 9. The results were announced on Friday May 25 evening.

Daughter of the late Dr M Iqbal Hussain and Dr Munazza, and grand-daughter of well-known chartered accountant Sheikh Abdullah, Asfiya also bagged the 154th rank in Engineering.

Talking to Daijiworld, Asfiya reveals that hardwork, dedication, perseverance and desire to excel have together been responsible for her success. 'I would be up before sunrise everyday to study and my only aim was to bag a rank in CET. It is truly a dream come true and the feeling is yet to sink in,' she says.

She is also a student of Expert Coaching Class.

In II PUC board exams, Asfiya had scored a whopping 98.5 per cent in PCMB, which included cent per cent marks in Maths and Physics. She has also bagged the 32nd rank in MAHE entrance exam in which, apart from students from all over India, those from other countries had also tried their skills.
