Bangalore, May 23: With the Honalli MLA Renukacharya and nurse Jayalakshmi controversy turning to muddy, the BJP Central leadership thinking to take stringent action against the MLA.

Apart from this, the Central leadership is also contemplating to issue code of conducts to its elected representatives to ensure that they should follow discipline in public life.

A senior leader in the party told this website's newspaper that they have received detailed report from the state unit and it would be placed before the party's Central Parliamentary Board. But they are waiting for Karnataka State Women Commission verdict, that sized the matter before taking any action, he said.

“Though it is certain that MLA and nurse had friends, the opponents of the MLA are trying to capitalize the issue to gain political mileage. We should ensure that our MLAs should not fall prey to the conspiracy hatched by the opposition party,” he said.

“As the BJP is making its debut in power in Karnataka, we don't want our party's name getting tarnish due to misdemeanour of a MLA” he said.

Admitting the mudslinging issue between MLA and nurse had sullied the party image in the state for certain extent, he said that we wanted to sent strong warning to other our MLAs to maintain strict discipline in public life, he said.

Meanwhile, the party central leadership also instructed state unit leader to keep the “tainted” MLA Renukacharya at bay till he comes out with clean.

Both MLA and nurse have been indulging in mud slinging for the past couple of weeks. Even nurse alleged that MLA had threatened her to kill and released her intimate picture with MLA to media.
