Mangalore, May 22: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) and Catholic Welfare Association jointly organized a free health check-up camp in association with Fr Muller’s Medical College at Holy Angles School, Permannur near here on Sunday May 20.

Fr Thomas D’Souza, parish priest, St Sebastian Church, Permannur, presided over. Fr Elias D’Souza, director, ICYM, Mangalore, was present as the chief guest. He was felicitated for his service in ICYM in the past seven years.

Speaking on the occasion, Fr Elias said that since donating blood can save so many lives, whoever wants to donate blood or is in need of blood, can just log on to ICYM website and give their details and contact number. Also, people can contact the newly-built ICYM’s Youth Centre at Jeppu here.

Harry Tellis, secretary, parish pastoral council and Demitrias D’Souza, treasurer, Dr Ganesh Kamath, professor, Fr Muller’s Medical College and Vincent Paul D’Souza,  president, Catholic Welfare Association (CWA), were present on the occasion.

Maurice Monteiro, director, CWA, welcomed the gathering, while Raviraj D’Souza compered the programme. Arun D’Souza, president, ICYM gave the vote of thanks.
