Belgium one step closer to Davis Cup semi-final


Madrid, July 18 (IANS): Belgian tennis player David Goffin won against Canada's Filip Peliwo 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 in the second match of the Davis Cup quarter-final clash between Belgium and Canada.

The win brings Belgium one step closer to the semi-final, after Steve Darcis won the first match against the Canadian Frank Dancevic 3-6, 6-1, 7-5 6-3 on Friday, reports Efe.

If Belgium advances, it will await the winner of the Argentina and Serbia match in the last four clash.
