New Delhi, July 15 (IANS): The All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Wednesday invited its state associations to send in their nominations for teams for the upcoming Under-15 and Under-18 I-League tournaments.
The two tournaments are scheduled to kick-off from September.
The teams will be grouped into zones and would play home and away matches amongst them. Eventually the top two zonal teams would qualify for the final round, an AIFF statement said on Wednesday.
The statement further added that those clubs who are not part of the I-League and the second division league, can participate in these youth leagues after obtaining certification under the AIFF Academy Certification Program.
Academy Certification Program was launched last year to streamline the process of development of young players throughout the country through a certification model.
